Most manufacturers recommend replacing the a/c condenser when there is a catastrophic a/c compressor failure. When a compressor is seized, frozen, locked up, or noisy it may release metal shavings throughout the a/c system. Most of the debris makes its way to the condenser and becomes trapped; clogging the tubes. Newer style condensers (parrallel flow or multi flow) cannot be flushed and must be replaced when replacing the compressor.
The primary purpose of the ac condensers is to cool the refrigerant gas low enough to turn it into a liquid. This is done by running the refrigerant through a series of tubes inside the condenser. These tubes are attached to fins that are cooled by air coming across the condenser.
All of our condensers are designed to decrease foreign particle deposits, keeping your entire A/C system running at optimal performance.
